רעדנאַס אין די פּנים: וואָס אַנטי-רעדנאַס טריטמאַנץ?

Face redness comes in different forms, but all originate from the dilation of blood vessels. From a simple reddening of shyness to a real skin disease, the redness is more or less intense. Fortunately, daily creams and anti-redness treatments help soothe the skin.

What are the reasons for redness on the face?

Redness of the face, the fault of the blood vessels

Blushing… This is the simplest and most common form of skin redness, even if it is sometimes annoying: the blushing of shyness, after flattery or simply at the sight of someone. And some people are more prone to it than others. The red rises to their cheeks, in other words the blood rushes to the face, which denotes an overactivity of the blood vessels.

Redness of the face: rosacea, erythrosis and rosacea

Redness can also be patches on the face, more durable and less easy to hide. Depending on their degree of importance, they are called rosacea, erythrosis or rosacea. These are different stages of the same pathology that causes the blood vessels to dilate too much.

They affect mostly women, with fair and thin skin, and occur between 25 and 30 years old. Redness can occur or become more pronounced during pregnancy in particular. The people concerned generally have a predisposed genetic background which is accentuated by the environment. Redness can thus appear both during temperature variations – changing from cold to hot without stopping in winter or from air conditioning to intense heat in summer – as well as during the consumption of spicy food or the absorption of alcohol. even at low doses.

Red patches then appear, with heating of the skin, and are more or less durable depending on the person. They occur mainly in the cheeks and also affect the nose, forehead and chin. For rosacea more particularly, the location of this redness can, wrongly, suggest a form of acne on the T zone, but it is not. Although rosacea has small white-headed pimples as well.

Which anti-redness cream to use?

In the case of significant and irritating redness, it is of course essential for your health and comfort to consult a general practitioner who will refer you to a dermatologist. They will be able to determine with certainty what type of problem concerns you in order, of course, to find an adequate treatment.

However, everyday cosmetics and creams can soothe redness for at least a day.

Anti-redness creams and all anti-redness treatments

There are many anti-redness creams available in all price ranges. It is therefore very important to choose your treatment according to its composition, which must be anti-inflammatory and protective for the whole day. And this, in order to avoid hot spots and to create a barrier against temperature variations. Finally, it must provide you with sufficient hydration.

The first brands to have developed anti-redness treatments are those available in drugstores, in particular with their ranges with treating thermal water. Anti-redness creams also combine vitamins B3 and CG which protect against the dilation of the surface vessels. Others combine plant molecules, such as soothing plant extracts.

There are also anti-redness serums, more concentrated in active ingredients and which penetrate deeply. Serums are never used alone. This can be particularly useful if you want to use another type of cream as a supplement, such as an anti-wrinkle treatment.

Soothe redness with a new skincare routine

When you suffer from redness, you should treat your skin with the utmost gentleness so as not to excessively stimulate blood circulation. In the same way, an already sensitized skin will react even more badly to an overly aggressive treatment.

It is therefore totally forbidden to strip your skin. On the contrary, morning and evening, adopt a calming skincare routine. A mild cleansing milk is recommended, and it is also possible to use a cleansing vegetable oil in massage to gently remove impurities.

Avoid all types of soaps, which can dry out the skin quickly. Likewise, rubbing with a cotton ball is not recommended. Prefer the fingertips, much less aggressive. As for peels and aggressive exfoliations, they are totally contraindicated.

Finish your make-up removal by removing the excess with a cotton ball or tissue, without rubbing again. Then spray with soothing thermal water before applying your anti-redness cream.
