It is possible to prevent the occurrence of tendonitis by adopting good practices before starting a sport session or by correcting a poorly performed gesture. In the workplace, it may be necessary to adapt the workstation to avoid aggravating tendon injuries.

Several measures can reduce the risk of tendonitis, the watchword being to avoid any sudden change in the practice of sport or an activity, whether it is a quantitative change (lifting too heavy weights, running too long a distance, resuming intensely after an injury or a break, etc.) or qualitative (different exercises, change of terrain or surface, change of equipment).

As a general rule, it is recommended:

  • to warm up well, at least for 10 minutes, supplementing with סטרעטטשינג ;
  • to master technical gestures, for example by taking a course to avoid bad postures or inadequate movements;
  • avoid exercising in unusual extreme conditions (cold, humidity, etc.);
  • גוט כיידרייט, because dehydration can promote the wounds ;
  • צו האָבן אַ קוואַליטעט ויסריכט and adapted (sports shoes, racket, etc.);
  • גוט stretch after the effort, which strengthens the tendons.

In the workplace, it is recommended to take regular breaks and vary your movements, if possible. An interview with the occupational physician is generally useful in order to adapt the advice on a case-by-case basis.
