This model is presented in the form of a structure, which consists of a body with drums and ropes. The wall dryer is suitable for installation on spacious balconies or bathrooms. Despite the fact that some models allow you to hide the ropes, the structure still takes up a lot of space.
There are several types of wall-mounted clothes dryer:
- fixed. The design is made in the form of a U-shape. It only mounts to one wall, so it takes up a lot of space. It is impossible to hide the ropes. The advantage of this model is its low cost;
- sliding. Such a dryer is made in the form of an accordion and is inexpensive. It folds and unfolds. The structure is pushed forward by 50 cm, so the working surface is not very large. Despite the fact that the sliding wall-mounted clothes dryer is oversized, the reviews about it are only positive. It folds quickly and is almost invisible;
- inertial. This is the most expensive model, but multifunctional. The dryer does not take up much space. A drum is attached to one wall, and a socket is attached to the second, into which a bar with ropes goes. The structure stretches up to 4 m. To unfold it, you need to fix the bar in the socket.
Each type of dryer can withstand the weight of laundry from 6 to 10 kg. If you put a heavy load, the rope will stretch and begin to sag.
Is it possible to do without a professional when installing a structure? Yes, it is very easy to install the dryer yourself. The sliding structure is attached to one wall with three dowels. Fasteners are included.
The inertial dryer is mounted slightly differently. You need to drill two holes on each side of the wall, taking into account the horizontal plane.
The wall dryer can be rope or foldable. When choosing, one should take into account not only the dimensions of the room where it will be attached, but also the amount of linen that needs to be hung on the ropes. For larger families, a telescopic dryer is not worth considering. For small rooms, only an inertial design is suitable.
