The hat is 5-15 (20) cm in diameter, hemispherical, cushion-shaped, dry, matte, velvety, later smooth, chestnut-brown, red-brown, black-brown, with a light edge, darkens when pressed.
The tubular layer is yellow-olive, later red-orange, turns blue when pressed.
The spore powder is olive brown.
Leg 5-10 cm long and 2-3 cm in diameter, tuberous, barrel-shaped, later thickened towards the base, yellow-red with spotted small dark red scales, specks, solid or made.
The flesh is dense, fleshy, bright yellow, reddish in the leg, quickly turns blue on the cut.
