How does regular exercise help grow your business, stay productive and happy?

How do I choose workouts?

I like different sports: from yoga and running to crossfit and boxing. It all depends on the mood and need – this is one of the key ideas of the FITMOST subscription.

Love for yoga did not appear immediately, not from the first or even from the tenth lesson, but now I have a specific desire to do several asanas.

Fitness boxing, interval and cardio workouts like their intensity. In 45 minutes you have time to pump your body with high quality, and since the activity is really hard, there is not enough time to think about something extraneous and be distracted. It helps me to switch off much more than savasana. In yoga, I don’t turn myself off, but rather structure.

How training becomes a way of life

Sports activities are an actively growing trend, and the merit of millennials is in this. Baby boomers thought about health only in adulthood, Xs came to this a little earlier, but for generations Y and Z, fitness has turned from a hobby into an integral part of life. This is not just physical activity or a way to lose weight, but an opportunity to get new emotions and impressions.

It became important not only the result, but also the process itself. That is, not just to achieve the goal: to sit on the splits, learn to box or dance twerk, but to do it in a beautiful, atmospheric, energizing place. Achievement has been replaced by pleasure.

How do I find time for sports in a busy schedule?

I have two rules.

ערשטער: make appointments for the morning or evening and find nearby training area. I try to minimize situations where the meeting and the road to it break up the day. For example, on Wednesday morning I meet with partners in the north-east of Moscow, and I signed up for kung fu at a studio nearby.

די צווייטע: exercise in the morning. In this regard, Russia is still very different from Western countries, where people mostly prefer to go to the gym in the morning and classes start almost at four. Maybe it’s because of the climate, but I believe in the magic of the morning: exercising helps me stay efficient all day long. It also frees up evenings for meetings, chatting with friends or studying.

How does exercise help me reach my goals?

Sport helps to hone the qualities that are needed in business. Somewhere it is a balance, because the ability to keep balance is often equal to the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Somewhere – patience and endurance.

Without the ability to “clench your teeth” and overcome difficult moments, it is impossible to grow a business. Of course, this is also a way to cope with the psychological burden, throw out negative emotions. And for motivation and recharge, I go cycling.

How sports make me happy

The sports industry is often called the industry of happiness – I completely agree with this. The feeling of inner work and the process of self-improvement are important in order to be in harmony with yourself, and therefore, to be happy.

It seems to me that everyone can find for themselves a type of activity that will contribute to this. For some it’s dancing, for others it’s fencing, squash or diving. If you don’t have a favorite sport yet, keep looking.

Other ways to be productive

I try to minimize sugar, recently I began to limit coffee to one cup a day. Every six months I do a checkup: I take tests, do ultrasound and MRI of various organs – those that bother me, and those that I have not checked for years or never, gradually scanning every cell of my body.

For several years I have not been to fast food establishments, although I can afford to eat a quality tasty burger.
