פוס: 6 cm high. 1-2,5 cm wide. The central one is eccentrically located, cylindrical in shape. Toward the bottom, the leg narrows slightly, may be elongated root-like, whitish in color with reddish or reddish-brown scales.
פּאַפּ: elastic, hard with a pleasant mushroom smell, in an adult mushroom the flesh becomes woody.
רעקאָרדס: descending along the stem, greyish-white or yellowish. Serrated at the edges. The presence of conspicuous teeth is considered the main distinguishing feature of the sawfly.

עדיביליטי: the mushroom can be eaten, but only at a young age, while the flesh is still soft enough, ripe mushrooms are not suitable for eating. There is no information on the toxicity of the fungus.
ענלעכקייט: can be confused with other similar large scales and sawflies, which are characterized by low nutritional qualities and are inedible.
צעשפרייטן: found on the stumps of coniferous trees and deadwood, as well as on telegraph poles and railway sleepers. Grows singly or in small groups. Fruits from early June to September. Fruiting bodies germinate very slowly, decorating the pillars and trunks with their presence for a long time.
