The main difference between the yellowish mycena and other mushrooms of this family is the presence of a yellowish or pinkish cap, a yellow leg (empty from the inside). The diameter of the cap of Rene’s mycena varies from 1 to 2.5 cm. The shape of the cap is initially spherical, but gradually becomes conical or bell-shaped. The color of the caps of yellowish mycena is predominantly pink-brown or meat-red-brown, and the edge is lighter than the center (often even white).

The plates of the mushroom under the cap are initially white, but as they mature, they become pink, grow to the stem with cloves.

The stem of the described type of fungus has a cylindrical shape, brittle, characterized by the presence of a small edge over its entire surface. the color of the stem can be orange-yellow or golden-yellow, its upper part is lighter than the lower, the thickness is 2-3 mm, and the length is 5-9 cm. In fresh mushrooms, the smell is very similar to chloride, just as caustic and unpleasant.

Mushroom spores have a smooth surface and an elliptical shape, colorless. Their sizes are 7.5-10.5*4.5-6.5 µm.

The leg of this mushroom is yellow with a golden tint, often exudes an unpleasant odor.
