It is often confused with other ailments related to the eyes, skin or allergic reactions. Demodicosis is a disease that develops under the influence of the demodex that causes it. The vast majority of people are carriers of this parasite. So how do you recognize demodicosis? What are its most characteristic symptoms? And most importantly, what precautions should you take if you get sick?
Human demodex – how can it get infected?
דעמאָדעקס is a parasite – an arachnid, which, despite its small shape, can cause serious ailments in the body by becoming active. favorite location דעמאָדעקס are hair follicles and sebaceous glands, and the favored food is sebum and lipids, which causes that their largest concentrations are in the nose area, around the eyes, on the forehead, chin, in the nasal and labial folds. It happens that they are also located in other parts of the body, e.g. on the hands, on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, on the pubic hair. So how can this parasite be allowed to nestle freely in the body? For infection דעמאָדיקאָסיס can happen very simply. It is enough to touch the same objects – clothing, cosmetics, kitchen utensils and, of course, direct contact with a person who is infected. In addition, a favorable environment for infection is dust, which is an ideal carrier for the eggs of this parasite. Due to the fact that it is so easy to contact דעמאָדעקס, most people are its carriers, but of course not everyone gets it דעמאָדיקאָסיסand many simply go undiagnosed. The most vulnerable people to appear with them demodicosis symptoms, are certainly allergy sufferers, as well as those whose immune system is weaker than others. In addition, demodicosis will develop more easily in the elderly, with lipid and hormonal disorders, as well as in those who constantly experience stress and have problems with skin inflammation and seborrheic skin.
Demodicosis in humans – how not to confuse it with another disease?

Positive verification means the need for treatment – applying anti-inflammatory ointments and creams. Patients often reach for Peruvian balsam, pyrogallol, pyrocatechin and naphthol spirit solutions. It is crucial to get rid of the parasite from the body, so it is recommended to use disposable towels or remove dead skin. If דעמאָדעקס attacked the eye, then an appropriate preparation should be used, preceded by making a compress and massaging the eyelids. Treatment sometimes takes several months and, unfortunately, does not guarantee the risk of recurrence of the disease.
