Julia accompanies each work with a drawing. This year, a five-year-old writer published a book called “Tales of the Magic Forest.” You can see her at a personal exhibition-presentation in the Voronezh Regional Library named after V.I. Nikitin.

Julia Startseva’s book includes 14 fairy tales from the girl’s early work. She began to invent stories from the age of four. At first, these were small stories about animals, then the parents noticed that there is a plot in all the stories. This is not just a set of sentences, but an independent work.

“I want to come up with something diverse and something unknown, that no one knows anything, – this is how Yulia thinks about her work. – I begin to think, and the thought turns into a fairy tale-fiction. But first, I draw pictures that pop into my head. “

Julia’s creative process is always a theatrical performance. “The granddaughter may suddenly say:“ Fairy tale ”, which means that you need to give up everything and urgently write down a new story under dictation, – says grandmother Irina Vladimirovna. – Yulechka sits down at the desk and begins to tell and draw at the same time. First, these are sketches made with a simple pencil, then a watercolor illustration or monotype appears. “

The girl’s mother Elena Kokorina recalls that while composing a fairy tale, Julia often runs around the room and clearly shows how a bird should fly or how bunnies run to her mother. Especially emotionally and colorfully, the girl described the thunderstorm and the sensations after the storm.

“Yulechka was able to figuratively convey the rolls of thunder, lightning, the feeling of a strong wind – says Elena Kokorina. – But I especially liked the ending of the tale. “And then the sun came out, and such happiness happened – the radiance went snow-white. And the radiance will sparkle, and shine with unseen stars, and shine with unheard-of colors, bright emeralds. Handsomely! And the forest was all in the sun! ” We have not edited the text. Otherwise, he would have lost his originality and originality. “

The most important thing is that Yulia, unlike adult storytellers, sincerely believes in the existence of the wonderful country Landakamysh, in the magic horse Tumdumka and that goodness and beauty always win. Every story always has a happy ending, and there are no evil characters in Yulia’s tales. Even Baba Yaga looks like a kind old woman to her.

Sometimes a simple truth is born in the words of a child. Some sentences can even be considered a kind of aphorisms. For example:

“And in the morning the river flowed so quickly that the fish beyond the river could not keep up”;

“A fairy tale is wiser than thoughts. Difficulties must be overcome ”;

“Miracles, perhaps, are made of thoughts?”;

“When kindness and kindness unite, then a good time will come!”

Little Yulechka’s parents are sure that all children can invent fairy tales. The main thing is to hear the kids. From birth, every child has abilities. The task of adults is to see them and help a son or daughter to reveal this talent.

“The family should have traditions, hobbies, – thinks Elena Kokorina. – Yulechka and I often visit exhibitions, museums, theaters. She especially likes the Kramskoy Museum, her daughter can look at paintings for hours. He loves music, and from the classics he likes the works of Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn. Of course, our family is sensitive to books. Julia never falls asleep without a traditional bedtime story. We have already read many books, and Yulia especially likes the tales of Andersen, Pushkin, the Brothers Grimm, Hauff, Kipling and others. We even came up with such a game “Remember a fairy tale”, when Yulia lists the names of familiar fairy tales or we tell an excerpt, and she recalls the name of the fairy tale. Our record – Yulia named 103 magical stories. The child should always be surrounded by care and attention. When we walk in the forest, I always try to show my daughter what plants and flowers are, what they are called. We consider the sky with bizarre clouds that look like lambs, we come up with our own names for the wildflowers. After such walks, the child learns to be observant. “
