Atrederm is a preparation used in dermatology to treat acne and other skin lesions associated with epidermal keratosis. The drug has anti-acne and exfoliating properties. The active substance of the preparation is tretinoin. Atrederm is available only by prescription.

Indications for the use of Atrederm

Atrederm is a topical liquid, intended for the treatment of acne vulgaris (especially comedone, papular and pustular forms) as well as concentrated pyoderma and keloid acne. The active substance of the preparation is tretynoina.

Before applying Atrederm, wash and dry the skin thoroughly. After 20–30 minutes, a thin layer of liquid should be spread. Use 1-2 times a day. In patients with light, sensitive skin, use 0,025% fluid once a day or every other day. Treatment lasts for 6–14 weeks.

Atrederm and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Atrederm are:

2. skin epithelioma, also in a family history,
3. acute dermatoses (acute eczema, AD),

5. perioral dermatitis,

During treatment, sun exposure and contact of the drug with the conjunctiva, nasal mucosa and oral cavity should be avoided. Wash your hands thoroughly after using the preparation. Inflammatory lesions may get worse during the first weeks of treatment.

Atrederm – warnings

1. Atrederm should not be used on irritated skin, as redness, itching or burns may appear.
2. During treatment with the drug, extreme weather conditions (strong wind, very low ambient temperature) may cause irritation in the place of application.
3. In particularly sensitive patients, the use of Atrederm may cause erythema, swelling, itching, burning or stinging, blistering, crusting, and / or peeling at the application site. In the event of their occurrence, contact your doctor.
4. During Atrederm, exposure to UV radiation (sunlight, quartz lamps, solariums) should be avoided; if such a procedure is impossible, use protective preparations with a high UV filter and clothes covering the places where the preparation is applied.
5. The solution should be applied to a clean and dried skin surface.
6. Avoid contact of the preparation with the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth and nose, with nipples and damaged skin.
7. Do not use the drug in young children.

Atrederm with other drugs

1. It is not recommended to use Atrederm in parallel with preparations irritating or exfoliating the skin (salicylic acid, resorcinol, sulfur preparations) or irradiating the skin with a quartz lamp, because it may lead to an increased local inflammatory skin reaction.
2. If Atredermi skin exfoliants are alternately applied to affected areas, contact dermatitis may occur. Your doctor will likely recommend reducing the frequency of their use.

Atrederm – side effects

When using Atrederm, skin irritation may occur in the form of:
